I LOVE reading great articles about my beloved Astoria. Especially when they mention my first coffee and beer loves, Coffee Girl and Fort George! I was in the tap room the same night you guys were having your Astoria Beer-Scene Pairing and I'm glad the mystery of who and why [wasn't I invited?!] are answered!

Astoria has been home to my family, on and off, since the early 1980s when my Dad was first stationed there in the Coast Guard. He moved there again with my Mom and I in the early 1990s and we purchased a house. I declared it home and home it has been since. We moved back again in 2007 and I can't believe how much the town has blossomed. We really have seen the downs and ups of the town.

I'm so glad you were able to stop by and see why we love it so much!

This kind of makes me think of the show "Chopped" on the Food Network - where the chefs get the weirdest combination of ingredients and then have to come up with something. I love to watch it, but I do wonder often: "Who comes up with these ideas???"

Your recipe actually sounds very good - not really that much GS Cookie.

So...how was it? Yummy? Would you make it again?

[...] Girl Scout Lemon Cookie & Shrimp Ravioli – look, I’m a pasta enthusiast, but I just don’t know. I’m personally not a lemon cookie fan, so I’m not sure if I’d enjoy them crushed and stuffed inside of ravioli with some ricotta and shrimp… On the other hand, lemon does go well with shrimp so… maybe?
This looks delicious. Proof that good food does not have to be complicated to be good.

Cheers.
