Oh such fun! And I "so get" what you shooting for though, wanting good food that represents who you are and shows the way. We fed 10 hungry guys in the mountains of Colorado last week, hauling meat and everything we'd need except for fresh fruit/veggies/dairy from Missouri. The "plan" was to cook over an open fire but with the fire risk, we had to move inside with conditions beyond icky (I just had to hold myself back). They're more casual/relaxed than yours but I'll share the three recipes that were total hits, Cowboy Beans (with extra meat, ham for texture change, http://www.kitchenparade.com/2009/09/calico-beans.php) and Short Ribs and an awesome Dutch Oven Cobbler. PS My sister's middle name is Kerry! :-)
