I cannot believe it is the last day. On the one hand, this DaVinci Storyteller Experience has flown by. On the other: we are full to the gills with stories, wine, memories, pictures, wine, inside jokes, brilliant ‘field trips’, wine, rich content and a lifelong affection for Vinci, Italy. As I write this, we are just an hour shy of our last evening together: all four DaVinci Wine Storytellers (Kerry, David, Evelyn & Janelle), the Vinci mayor, employees of DaVinci Wine Coop, and an impressive cast of new friends (winemakers, Chef Anna, tour facilitators, USA reps from DaVinci Wines and PR).

In this picture above, the two in the middle are Vinci Cooperative managers and growers. They are flanked by the four Storytellers, left two: David, Evelyn. Right two: Kerry, Janelle.

It is our chance to say thank you, and to express our overwhelming since of appreciation for each person we have met along the way—each of you took time with us, made special accommodations, filled not only our wine glasses but also entered our hearts. THANK YOU DaVinci Wines for sponsoring this trip, for launching ‘Storytellers’ and for providing us with this riveting, lush experience to get to know you—and the story behind your wines.

Readers: more to come. The four Storytellers have shared snippets of our experience but will unveil so much more about our trip. Look for posts, stories and information from DaVinci Wines including but not limited to the micro-climate, culture, cuisine and passion behind Vinci’s wine cooperative.

Yeah. I’m cryin’ inside. You guys were a blast. Just thinking of all the Brunello, grappa, and other assorted DaVinci’s…and Chef Anna…and…and…although I have lost 4 pounds since being back…an all too steep price to pay for a wistful palate.

Kerry: today I was in my garden and heard someone say ‘growers’ and I LOL’d thinking about ‘hoot and growners.’ :) ))))).
