We have the French "Poire William" which is a pear brandy...not sweet at all but with a lovely pear flavour. So, I could use it but would have to add some simple syrup to sweeten, unless the pear was exceptionally sweet. I suppose I could add the PW with some pear nectar & the fresh pear to see what result that gives me...worth experimenting with anyway!

Alisa: yes! So smooooootthhhh.

Barb: very peary:). Sorry, couldn't resist.

Camille: YES and both the US and Canada have less than what I saw in London! I bought Pear Liquor from Clear Creek Distillery in Oregon. BUT I also saw a Pear Brandy, which would work perfectly, since I added brandy anyway. What do you have up there?

I adore pears...anything about or with pears...the fruit on its own, in a salad with blue cheese & a sherry vinaigrette, baked with spices & rum, pear-martini...so, I'm curious as to exactly what the pear liquor was? Here in Canada, we don't always get the same alcholic treats you have in the US. Being that I live in Vancouver, BC, I often visit our beautiful state...could you suggest what I should look for & where in Seattle? Love your blog!!
