How about in the deep fryer? (ewww for me...but I hear it's quite tasty!) Can you actually fit a 15 lber in a crockpot? Is it possible? I'm happy to report my turkey came out good, using my sister in law's roaster. Fell right off the bone!

LOL about your son! Poor kid! Mine didn't see, thankfully!

Jennifer,

I will never forget that last year my son couldn't eat the turkey: he had seen it undressed and in the buff prior to roasting. This year we planned for him to be out of the kitchen until the turkey was in the oven! Funny, the things you remember... funny, the things our kids will remember!

Maybe next year we should put our turkeys into crockpots? On the grill?

My turkey is soaking in cold water as we speak! My husband brought the freebie turkey from work last night and I'm hauling butt to get it defrosted!

I look back at my childhood and our thanksgivings and now that we're the adults it's great to see our kids enjoying it.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! :)
